GRAND CANYON STAR PARTY [YAVAPAI POINT] JUNE, 2005
Telescope Alley

Does anybody have a 3/8th's drill bit?
Once again we have Dennis. Here he is seen making the final repairs to his telescope - afterwards it worked like band new.

Good morning Sally!
Here is Joe (in the green jacket) from Texas.
He must have robbed a bank because this year he showed up with 2 new telescopes! Pictured is a TeleVue 101NP on a Sphinx Mount.

Can you see M101 with that thing?
"Skyjim" aka. Jim is standing next to his TeleVue 101NP. This one on a Losmandy G8.

This picture has been approved.
This is Ellen and her Takahashi 5" APO.

Heck, he's in charge of everything!
This is Major Thom - he is in charge of Sky Control.
Ground Control to Major Thom - there's something wrong - my goodness man, just hit the "stop wind" button!

Ok, so it is my fault - I did it!
This is Joe and it's not my fault! (Inside joke) How ya doin' buddy - see ya next year!
Joe is Steve's son.

What's wrong with your hands?
This is Steve's daughter Elizabeth. She wouldn't let me take a picture of her so I stole this one!
Oh my!

My favorite neighbor...thanks Steve!
And finally we have Steve! His 18" EQ we so fondly nicknamed "metal" is now mounted in his observatory back at home in Tucson.
This year he brought the 12" version which still managed to turn a few heads.

For goodness sakes man, pull your shroud up!
This is Ara from the Sirius Lookers.

Be careful Michael, that first step is a lot more the 8.4 meters!
Next to Dean's Celestron are Dr. Bob from Ohio and his friend Michael who is visiting from Australia.

Narf!
I have no idea who this guy is but he begged me to post his picture.

Can you see the Moon?
This is a picture from the "Mini GCSP" held on Thursday night when the rains hit.
Pictured L-R is Dennis, Guests, Paul & Sim.
