The camera is a Canon Powershot G5 using a 7.2
- 28.8mm wide-angle
lens.
All the pictures are either hand-held or mounted on Orion's SteadyPix camera mount. They are all
afocal or "through-the-eyepiece" photos taken with one of my various telescopes.
Don't' forget to hold your cursor over the pix for additional messages and information.
There is nothing fancy or glossy about them. In fact, the image in the eyepiece looks much better then my photographic results. Some of the images have been computer enhanced using RegiStax & ArcSoft PhotoStudio. The five "framed" pictures near the bottom were taken with a tracking device - Single Axis EQ-3 for the AstroView & an LXD55 mount for the Meade AR5.





The picture above of Jupiter is from the same session as the previous picture of Jupiter. I used RegiStax to adjust the image even further. I was surprised at the detail and even more: the moons showed up!
